Time-lapse Video

Video in Flickr is intended to allow you to capture moments in time, with the distinction being slightly longer moments than might be afforded by static images. There's an obvious question there about what kinds of moments you might choose to capture in video form; the less intuitive (and less grammatically correct) question is...when kinds of moments might you choose to capture? What kinds of video-genic activities are Flickr users getting up to at certain times of day?
To answer this intriguing albeit unexpected question, we've now got a Flickr Clock (sadly, not a Clockr). It gives you a great snapshot -- or, more pointedly, a great short film -- of the various moments that transpire in the Flickrverse over the course of the day. At midnight, you're out watching reflections in the rain; by 10am, your cat is "playing" DDR; and for dinner you've got some exceptional service on the rolls. If you start if off from 12am, it'll automatically scroll through the entire day -- think of it like watching an entire season's worth of 24, but with fewer terrorists. It all works via the magic of machine tags (check out the linked videos for the time:hour tag) plus participation in the Flickr Clock group, meaning that it's super easy for everyone, even you, to join in.
Did I mention that even Free users can upload video now, and Pro users can start uploading video in HD (check it out on the Flickr blog)? Even more reasons to get out there and start capturing all of your own slices of time.
