Yahoo! Cool Thing of the Day

A while ago, the folks at Y!Shopping redid things. They shuffled bits around, changed the colors, added a bit more flow and website feng shui and made a bunch of improvements to shopping on line.

Well, except for one thing.

You couldn't sort results by price.

Needless to say, a lot of folks felt that sorting by price might actually be a good idea for a shopping site and they let their feelings be known. Sure enough, price sort on Y!Shopping is back.

This actually highlights a few things.

1. If you don't like something,TELL US! Yes, the feedback form is like shouting into a well, but trust me, there is someone down there and folks will hear it. It's just that there's an awful lot of folks shouting down an awful lot of those wells, and not all of them are about things like this. (There are a surprising number of "How do I search for websites?" that seem to show up on those things.)
2. If you DO like something, TELL US! We do a lot of user surveys and research, but unless we find out your opinion, we'll never know what you're thinking. We may change or remove your favorite feature becase we just didn't know that a lot of folks liked it. (But we heard from a bunch of folks that didn't.)
3. Don't give up! Yeah it may suck now, but it may get better. Check back in a few months and see. We're always changing and trying to improve. Sadly, there's no real manual for doing this stuff, so a lot of times we're just trying stuff out. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
