I love my car, but I probably should have bought a Prius.
This bit of self-doubt is brought to you by Yahoo! Autos and their recently unveiled Total Cost to Own feature, which evaluates the estimated total cost of your car over a five-year period by looking at depreciation, financing, insurance, maintenance, and, yup, how much it costs you to fill up that gas tank. You can even do handy head-to-head comparisons to really drive home the point about how much you hate the oil industry. Over a five-year period in California, driving about 10,000 miles per year, a Prius would apparently be around $2000 cheaper than my Scion tC. Shoot.
At least I made the right choice about not getting that HUMMER.
