Collect Them All

So, Yahoo! Local rolled out a new feature called "Collections". Well, actually, there's two.
Rather than talk about them, here's a snapshot that shows what they are:

That My Local button is the hardest to explain, but also the coolest:

It's cool because that was stuff that was on the page already, it was just lurking elsewhere on the page and tended to get lost in the shuffle. Putting it there gets it somewhere easy to find and makes it more obvious (plus, if you don't want to see that stuff, you don't have to.
The other features are nice, but I've got a few problems with them. The pictures don't go to Flickr, which means that they're hard to find. Also, the "collections" idea is nice, but unlike Y!Trip Planner, I can't add my own notes about something. (e.g. "Call these guys to get a quote" or "Tom, said the nigiri here is pretty good. Should bring the wife.")
Still, it's the very first version, and like the first version of a lot of stuff, there's lots of room to improve.

So why not the most ubiquitous list of them all — the shopping list? Oh, we’ve got those (and yes, we’ve mentioned them in passing in an earlier post). We’ve got a whole sphere full of ‘em. [...]
