		<description>:) The proliferation of the Beta tag over every single new Web product that&#039;s released these days kind of annoys me, too, but I don&#039;t necessarily think that it&#039;s a bad thing if it&#039;s managed correctly. The intent is to release an unfinished product to a large audience in order to gather better feedback and iteratively improve, right? The Yahoo! Kids site does solicit feedback at the end of their little intro by Earl, and they&#039;re planning on pushing out more updates within the next few months, so it looks like the right spirit is there. The main thing I&#039;d complain about in this case is that they&#039;ve taken down the original Yahooligans site, so there&#039;s no option for kids to opt out of this Beta.
