It’s Not Cheating, It’s Research

Tom Nook is a manipulative, greedy bastard.
I can say that with some authority ever since Animal Crossing for the DS came out. For those who now think I've slipped into speaking Martian, let's just say that those hordes of kids at the mall staring transfixed at their portable game systems just might be on to something. Heck, according to most entertainment surveys, anyone younger than me (more than half the planet, I'd add) either play more video games than watch "traditional" entertainment like TV, or join the rest of the village to raise GoodFellow Svenholt's barn next Saturday.
Still, for folks like me who were fairly late to the game and have the hand-eye coordination of a goldfish, there is still hope, in today's CoolThing. You probably don't know about Yahoo! Video Games, a site that collects up news and reviews for various games, consoles, and other things that go ping. Oh sure, there are other sites out there that feature gaming reviews and news, and they're all really good too. What I love about Y!Video Games though is the fine selection of cheats and walkthroughs culled from the web for the various games. That's where I learned the joy of Money Rocks for Animal Crossing.
The other nice thing about Y!Video Games? There are a LOT less annoying ads than on other sites.
So have at it ye of the not quite calloused thumbs! Load up and show that kid at the bus stop how you cleared DOOM in 6 minutes flat. Well, before he totally 0w3z j00 at Metroid.
