Search on the Side

One of the things that kinda urked me about the old Y!Search Box was that it really didn't fit right.
I mean, if you wanted to put the simple Y!Search box plug-in onto your blog or web page, you had to either goose things around in the box or your page or heaven knows what to make it all fit. Granted, I live and breath this sort of junk so making a custom search box is about as hard for me as getting that bit of popcorn out from behind a tooth.
Fortunately, however, you have a life.
Well, that, and you also have better things to think about than the attribute element order for CSS background: tags. That's why I like the fact that the nice folks over at Y!Search added a few new searchbox templates to the mix.
(Now if only they'd introduce a "q2" parameter to allow site owners to specify additional search arguments.)
