We Feed You Right!

To paraphrase a certain 80's video game, You Hunger.

Ok, maybe not for space rocks for your never ending quest for galactic conquest (not that there's anything wrong with that, mind you), but for data. Information. Chewy bits of digital joy to make you're days complete.

Well, boy, golly do we got 'em.

For those of you that know (or care), you've probably noticed that Yahoo is literally dripping with RSS feeds. We've got them everywhere, and you're probably wondering a few things like:

1) What are they?
When in doubt, Wikipedia.
2) Ok, so how do you use them?
Well, in Firefox, you can add them as "Live Bookmarks", meaning that they'll update whenever there's new stuff, you can add them to your My Yahoo! page, toss them into a Widget, Send them to your phone via an Alert, or serve them on toast with fresh parsley and a side of bacon. (Ok, no, really, but I missed breakfast this morning.)
3) Why?
This is the biggie. There are a lot of reasons, mostly though, they're around you getting what you want without having to search for it. It's info delivered to you. Stuff like the latest movies (for when you want to catch a flick), news, finance, and lots more.

Oh yeah, and most of them are ad free (well, right now anyway).

There are a few others that I'll tell you about in particular tomorrow, but for now, there's a bagel with my name on it.

This bagel is an imposter, I say!

Well, yeah, the overfed, reduced-sugar, mutant donuts they serve in the cafe aren’t bagels, but see, that’s the beauty of working in MC1. There’s a real, honest-to-God bagel shop within easy walking distance.
