Less Logging

I don't know how many folks noticed this, but there's something on Yahoo! we're hoping you'll see less of.
It's everyone's favorite, the log-in page. Recently, we rolled out a change to up the max log in time from 8 hours to two weeks.

You may not have noticed this because (like me) there's a certain level of "muscle memory" that kicks in whenever you see that page. While it's nice to know that folks can't read your email if you accidentally forget to log out at home or in some airport, it's a bad thing since phishers take full advantage of that reflex action.
Naturally, the really important stuff (your account information, some settings, etc.) is still going to ask for your info, but other stuff won't.
There's full details on the help page, but hopefully seeing that box will become a little less frequent and might get you to check the address before you start typing anything in.

It’s possible that it’s being bucket tested. I’ve run into it on my home computer and also on my work computer, but I haven’t been able to get it back on my work computer after clearing out my cookies.

Odd. I’ve hit it with every browser and machine I’ve got. (in fact, I got the snapshot from a machine I just rebuilt over the weekend.) Still, random sampling means… well… random.
My apologies if folks aren’t seeing it.
