All The Map That’s Fit to Print

The printable versions of Yahoo! Maps (here's a map with endpoints set) have gone (printable) version 2.0. One of the most notable updates relates to the presentation of the printable map itself, where you now have three fun options from which to choose -- the overall map, the two endpoints, or the two endpoints AND the overall map (I prefer this last one). An even more notable feature is the addition of a Notes field where you can type in comments about the map, especially useful if you'll be handing off the directions to another person or if you just need a place to jot down landmarks or reminders or self-affirming words of encouragement about your sense of direction. You can hide the Summary and Notes section entirely for a more streamlined map, as well as any of the individual points of direction if they don't seem helpful. There's also an option to display cumulative distances and one to change the font size.
The only feature really missing is the ability to dynamically (gogo gadget AJAX!) adjust the map images that show up -- they won't sync to changes you make in the original map window any more, either, though the overall view does at least mirror whatever you're looking at when you open the printable version -- but otherwise it's a very nice update.
EDIT: I hadn't realized that you can also click on the printable map's title and edit that, too. But, yup, you can.
