More Mobile Music

Ah, the joys of not being particularly patient. Recently, I swapped my Zen for a Sansa. While I'm not a big fan of the proprietary connector, it's got enough other features that make it a better player, including more battery life and the ability to be a MTP (Windows proprietary format, but it works with Y!Music, Rhapsody, Napster and other non-Apple services) or a Mass Storage device (which will work on anything with a USB port), plus the mini-SD slot means that if I ever have more than 8GB of music, I can "upgrade" it by slipping in a new chip.
Sadly, I got it before the Sansa Connect came out, which features built in WiFi, and a host of other nifty features. More importantly, the fine folks at Sansa worked with the fine folks at Y!Music to add quite a few nice Yahoo! specific features to it, including stuff like the ability to play Y!Music radio streams, Flickr Photos, and other things. Ian has a rundown of all the goodies, and you'll find lots of reviews all over.
The only somewhat disconcerting thing is that some early reports say that it doesn't provide any form of WEP or WPA keying, which kinda sucks since a lot of local WiFi locations use those, even on their free links. I'll add that there are some additional reports that this does indeed work with keyed networks. Unfortunately, I don't have one (yet) so I can't verify but I'm guessing that will be addressed by a future firmware update if it doesn't.

It does support both WEP and WPA. I’m currently listening to my Sansa which is connecting to my network with WPA-psk.
