Making Faces

Here's a few tips for folks that use Yahoo! Messenger. (I understand there might be a couple of folks out there beyond our campus that use it, at least that's the rumor. If you're one of those, bless you.)

If you're getting tired of the same ol' , fear not! (Or start fearing. Your choice, really) There's a whole slew of other faces one can make, and since we got tired of folks asking us how to make some of the rarer faces, we're even telling you how to make those too.

Personally, I'm a fan of , and , but then, that's me.

Granted, I also don't see any of these. (That's the other tip)

If you're getting tired of getting smilies in your code snippets, you can turn them off by going under Prefrences | Messages | [ ] Enable emoticons. You can also turn off the Audibles if you like, for a more tranquil IM'ing experience.

Of course, you'll also have to figure out what your kid means by sending 3:-O, but that's another issue.

    Odd, I thought it had to do with being far more flexible than you thought or performing your own rectal examination.
