Shared Calendar - Worldcup Schedule Reloaded
| Thursday, June 8th, 2006 | --daved |
While reading the instructions for adding the Worlcup schedule to your Yahoo! Calendar I thought there must be an easier way to do this. And there is!
1) Go to your Yahoo! Calendar
2) Click on "Edit" next to "My Time Guides" (top right)
3) Click on "Add/Edit Friends" next to "Friends' Calendars"
4) Enter "fifaworldcupschedule" and click "Add"
Every match will now appear in your calendar. Round 2 (semi-finals, etc.) are placeholders but once we know who's playing we'll update the calendar and you will get these updates automatically! We could even add the scores to every match and that would show up in your calendar too. Sweet!
Imagine how you could use this for your club, event or friends & family. In fact there are other options that might fit better in this case. Explore group calendar, holidays, sport teams and financial events (all on the "Time Guides" screen).
Go Switzerland!

That’s pretty kewl. It’s that kind of thinking outside of the box with the PIM apps that makes me giggle like a little girl. Thanks!

Thanks to Sumeet for the bookmarklets. I did actually use them to import the events into the Calendar. ;)
