Tabbed Exploring
| Thursday, June 29th, 2006 | --Sean |
Quite some time ago, I made the switch from Internet Explorer to Firefox; I was the computer guy in my college dorm and wanted to set a good example while one of the big IE exploits was running wild. The greatest revelation for me was tabbed browsing---I have no idea how I had lived without it for so long.
By that metaphor, switching back to IE would be like a slow death for me, but at least the Yahoo! Toolbar is around to make me as comfortable as possible in those last moments:

Yup, that's right: Firefox-esque tabbed browsing in IE 6.0, along with popup blocking, spyware protection, and customizable access to all sorts of Yahoo! stuff. Now that I'm fully addicted to several Firefox plugins and extensions, there's very little chance I'll ever go back to IE 6.0, but if I had to, these features of the Yahoo! Toolbar would at least make it bearable.
