Less Big Ugly Y!Local URLs

Wow. There's a lot of "stuff" in our URLs, isn't there?
Take Y!Local's, for instance. Let's say that you've got a friend you want to take to a great dim sum place you found. You'd like to use Y!Local's page for it (since it's got a map, address, phone-number, and reviews), but let's face it, there's no way that
isn't going to wrap in the email.
What are you to do? Well, turns out, there's a bunch of stuff in that URL you don't really need to include if you're sending it to someone. In fact, you can actually trim things down rather nicely, but how do you do it? Turns out, Y!Local does it for you.

If you look at the top of the page, you'll see a new link for "Add this to MyWeb". Clicking on that link shows the MyWeb popout featuring the trimmed down URL:
http://local.yahoo.com/details?id=21601989
You can cut and paste that where-ever you need to.
Yes, we're working on shorter, less crufty URLs, as well as a number of other features to try and make your life easier. We just have to make sure the stuff that needs that stuff doesn't get stuffed.

You’re missing three or four YLT parameters.

I have a policy about not posting URLs that exceed 10 meters at 10pt font.
